REQUIRED FOR RENTING A RESIDENCE (HOUSE OR CONDO) IN BENT TREE PLANTATION
In November 2022, Bent Tree Plantation (BTP) HOA members voted by a super-majority to approve an addendum to our Master Declaration document prohibiting “Short-Term” rentals in our community. The addendum requires a residence rental to be no less than a 90-day period. The only exception is a “home-stay” style rental for up to one week in an owner-occupied residence where the owner must be present for the entire rental period. (See the addendum in our Master Declaration for details.)
For the safety of our community and in order to assure compliance with this new addendum, the BTP HOA Board requires owners to adhere to the following guidelines if renting their residence to any person or entity:
A) A member-owner who is renting their residence shall notify the BTP HOA Board in writing, by submitting this rental notification form information to our HOA Board. (Board@BentTreePlantation.org)
B) The member/owner of the rental property is responsible for any renter’s non-compliance with HOA rules and any resulting damage to HOA property/amenities.
C) In the event that a renter unexpectedly moves out or a new renter moves into the member/owner’s residence, the member/owner shall notify the BTP HOA Board in a timely fashion (10 days).
